What is a "special developmental environment"?
The main principle of the Montessori pedagogical system can be expressed briefly: “Help me do it myself!” For this, the so-called “prepared environment” is used: special materials and their special location encourage the child to independently discover his possibilities.
There are always several functional areas in the classroom.
One of the zones is similar to a household with real dishes and a sink – here children acquire various practical life skills and (at the same time!) improve motor skills and coordination. In other zones, materials for the development of sensory skills, language, mathematical abilities, and familiarity with the surrounding world are concentrated.
Are there plans to go outside the territory of the garden (museum, zoo)?
The kindergarten program includes trips to museums, zoos, together with parents.
What is the policy regarding sick children, is it possible to arrange a stay for them?
A kindergarten employee has the right to refuse admission to a child with signs of illness (pronounced runny nose, cough, fever). Admission of a child after an illness is carried out upon submission of a certificate from a doctor about the child’s state of health.
Do educators have any training on accidents (what they know, what courses they have taken, how often they are going to retake them)?
At the beginning of the academic year, all staff must undergo a first aid course, as well as a fire safety course.
Kindergarten is only for little ones or is it possible to go to school there?
Our kindergarten offers education, upbringing and care services for children aged 1 to 6 years, i.e. before school.
